Rationale

The college badly needs a new system for distributing announcements and information. DDS aims to solve that problem by offering an easy-to-set-up, centrally-managed system for distributing information to screens around WVH (and eventually, around campus).

What is DDS?

  • An automated digital signage system, or simply put a way to display information digitally
  • A network of computer connected large displays [think TV's] throughout campus
  • A flexible framework to aggregate data and utilize user generated content

Why use DDS?

  • Automated playlist control [priorities, expiration dates, etc]
  • Straightforward way to manage displays remotely (No more changing powerpoint slides manually!)
  • Centralized monitoring of displays
